Sharp XE-A203?

I have a Sharp XE-A203 Cash register. It is locked up with an E32 code followed by all zeros and it won't clear. I looked up E32 in the manual, but it said I needed to assign a clerk number. It never did that before. I have had it at least 2 years with no problems. Any ideas?
