Rear wipers running continuously - without break! Not a problem when it's raining, but a bit noisy when weather is fine.

After a severely scratched head I found the answer, so here it is:-

The UCH controls many electrical bits - including rear wipers. Sometimes this can get 'confused' and needs to be reset. Simply remove UCH fuse from fusebox for a few minutes, re-insert (it will beep) and you're as good as new.
