A 50:1 mix will ONLY do if the oil you decide to use states it should only be diluted at 50:1. if you choose a mineral oil, then it wll state something like a 25:1 mix. Whichever is the case, only ever dilute your mix to the recommended ration ON THE BOTTLE of oil- NOT what it states in the manufacturers handbook, as that ratio will be based on the manufacturers OWN brand recommended oil and chances are you won't be using that.
