mondeo front wheel bearing?

how to replace a front wheel bearing on a ford mondeo
john, December 2005
I know this is a bit late, but I have just spent 2 days trying to change one, eventually having to resort to taking the knuckle assy to a local garage to have the hub pulled. The advice from the mechanic after he spent 2 hours on it ? ......Next time don't bother. Just get a complete knuckle from a breakers . I agree ...

YOU WILL NEED TO REMOVE THE ROAD WHEEL BRAKE DISC AND CALIPER,REMOVE THE MAIN KNUCKLE ASSEMBLY FROM THE FRONT SUSPENSION,BALL JOINT AND TRACK ROD END AND AFTER UNDOING THE DRIVE SHAFT END NUT SLIDE THE WHOL HUB AND KNUCKLE OFF TOGETHER (COULD BE TIGHT SO YOU MAY NEED A PULLER) REMOVE THE HUB FROM THE CENTRE OF THE BEARING,UNDO THE CIRCLIP AND REMOVE THE BEARING ITSELF. REMOVE THE SECOND CIRCLIP AND THEN REBUILD IT BUT BE WARNED I HAVE DONE THIS AND WITHOUT PULLERS AND A DEGREE LATERAL THINKING IT IS NOT AN EASY JOB.
