Only used dishwasher a dozen times..all door lights come on when set and engine makes the appropriate noise but no water goes in the machine..the red light points to the floor then it just goes silent.

Just solved a similar problem with a Bosch dishwasher. Was advised to turn the dishwasher on its end so as the filling area may have been flooded. Up ended the dishwasher. Some water came out. Restarted and...Hey Presto! All working fine. I had also checked for kinked hoses, etc.

Hi, I had the same problem with mine. What you will find is that the base (floor pan) of the m/c has a switch which detects water entering into it. The water sometimes comes when there has been a blockage in the return pipe. If there is water anywhwre in the base then you will need to empty it ( I used a small piece if tube to suck out the water,which saves having to dismantle the base)then let it dry out, you should then find that it will refill as normal. If it fails again in the future then you will need to sort the blockage out.

is it draining.if you have kinked the drain hose or fill hose you will get this fault.also if connected to a stub under the sink make sure the end has been cut or blanking cap removed
