I'm no electrical expert but had the same problem and I went to an electrical dealer, where I was informed that the heating element had broken/worn and would require a new one. Apparantly this very common. It cost about £20-30. You can probably also obtain the element from:

It was relatively simple to fit and just entailed removing the back panel, noting the wiring and removing the old element and refitting the new one. Make sure you unplug the appliance from the mains obviously ;) Also ensure the element does not rub on the revolving drum - u can turn it by hand to test this. When refitting, screw the back panel to the drum first - this will support the drum and u can lift this up and secure the remaining panel screws.
