side lights on trailer flashing when hazards are on ?

hi i wired a towbar and electrics onto a ford transit tipper which WAS ok now i cannot stop the sidelights flashing ive changed the main plug but no diffrent this might be a stupid question but how can i check the earth many thanks

best thing to do is put a new earth to the lights,take you 5 min, just make sure where you attach the earth to the body is free from paint etc
