My 2001 ford fiesta zeetec with air con has stopped providing hot air in the car . also there is a leak coming into front footwells when air con is switched on. The car can suddenly mist up and only no 4 on the fan with air con can clear it, and clears it only slowly. any suggestions.

It sounds like your heater core has sprung a leak, either in the core itself or in the heater hose connected to it. The core is located under the dashboard usually on the passenger side. In the engine compartment, follow the two heater hoses to where they dissapear into the firewall and directly on the other side is the core. Its easy to replace but messy. Have a wet/dry vac handy.
