ER-380M CLOSED?

How do I get log on to my ER 380M till. I've tried keying 1, 2 3 etc up to 9 and then clerk and it does nothing. This is a till that has only been rarely used and I went to use it and whichever key I put in, everything is closed - help please.

Thank you Mark - I managed to get the till roll to print out lots of information (I had to clear all RAM first). This morning I still couldn't log on as a clerk no matter how hard I tried - I kept getting a time error. This afternoon I tried again so that I could put the exact error message here and got in straight away - bizarre!!

Anyway, I can start programming now so thank you very much for your help - I wouldn't have known the clerk numbers without the printout.

Hi.
If you have turned it off for more than a month then you have probably lost all of the programming due to the backup battery going flat.

See if you can print out a prog scan:

Turn key to P mode.
15 SUBTOTAL
1 PLU
10 PLU
5 X/TIME
CASH

You should get two reports. the first should show your products. Make sure the names are all there. The second should show clerk information. The clerk logon code may be in this info - the notes don't say whether it is. If it still says 'closed' when the key is in P mode and you can't get the reports, you will have to clear all programming and start again or take it to a dealer.
