Unfortunately your request is about the only failing with what is an old but 'bullet proof' control panel.
I've still got one protecting my garage & 2 sheds, it's 20+ yrs old now, never had a problem with it.
To change the User Code is an Engineer function, EngCde has to be entered first + a programming code to allow the change to be made.
Do you know the EngCde? If you do it's half the battle, then you would need the programming / installation guide - this would not be so easy for a complete novice to complete, too easy to make a mistake, then you've got problems.
Get a company in, it's going to cost you money but better to be safe than sorry.
Don't forget to tell them the type of control panel and to ask them if their engineers have any knowledge of them, if they don't try elsewhere.
Also don't be fobbed off with the system is too old and needs to be replaced, 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'.
That last comment is from someone with 30+ yrs in the alarm trade.
Post again if you have problems.
