If this doesn`t work be sure to check the connections to the batteries. Do not assume that just because the RF1`s display comes back on that they are both OK- the LH drawer does the display - on teasing out the connections to the RH batteries the SCR jumped into life; this was at my 20th attempt.

Thanks for that Jim, my 83 year old mum had been without heating last weekend after batteries went on thermostat. I've downloaded the instructions for next time!

Give the Man a Coconut, followed to the letter works a treat, great stuff Jim, thanks a heap.

Roy, February 2010
Worked for me too. Followed instructions to the letter and it worked first time.
Symptons are:
1. Programmer (is showing 'ON')
2. Digistat RFI (Roomstat) "SET" temp is higher than RFI shows as room temp)
i.e. are demanding heat
3. Boiler is "ON", not showing any error code and is not firing up.

Thanks!!

1st open the draws on the wireless room stat and replace the 4 AA battery's but do not close the draws, then take it to within 1meter of the receiver, turn the mains off then on again, press button 1 hold it and press button 2 until the red light flashes(learn mode)now first close the right hand draw then the left hand draw of the wireless stat and the display should come on press plus/minus and it should start working,if not both the receiver and stat will need replacing, good luck
