My Honeywell Oil radiator trips the electrics?

We have not used our honeywell HZ-280715E 1500w oil radiator since a year ago, however with the cold snap now here we have tried to use this, but a few seconds after turning this on, it trips the electrics out. Is there a way to fix this, eg. just shaking the radiator or something, or is it a waste of time

It could be the load of the element is to high for the breaker, which would make it trip. Howevr, just putting a big size breaker is not the answer, as you must take other factors into count, like cable size, volt drop, switching...ect!... you should call out a good NICEIC engineer (go to NICEIC web site for your local engineer) to look at it and he can advise you. Please dont tamper with any eletrics.
