Quite often the pump on the boiler cuts out and so the central heating goes off. Click the room stat to off and then turn again to click on and the pump will start operating again and radiators warm up. Changed room stat but this has not cured the problem. Someone mentioned the diverter valve but not sure if this is the cure
the water presure gage starts to go upto 3 or 4 barr when i turn on the heating or hot water any idea what might be the problem

When it goes off push against the lever on the diverter valve.If you meet resistance that tells you that it hasnt opened so it could well be that.Its either that or the pump,but the fav is the diverter.
