I hope you did not go in there with a sledge hammer and attempt to bust up that cast iron tub. You can rent you a sawsall from a rentall store and buy you some good emergency cut off blades (home depot or lowes has them) for it,get at least 6 or 7 blades, then proceed to cut the tub out making sure you shut off the water and disconnect the drain and overflow. Once you have it out you will need to move the drain to the center of your shower opening so when you put in your kit your drain will line up , but other than tht there is nothing to it
