IS CODE IN RADIO ?

I TOOK OUT THE SECURITY STICK (SORRY BUT I DONT KNOW THE OFFICIAL NAME OF THE STICK) FROM MY FORD RADIO AND I CAN NOT FIND IT. IF I REPLACED WITH ANOTHER ONE WOULD THE RADIO STILL WORK AS I HAVE THE CODE NUMBER CAN ANYONE PLEASE HELP THANKS STEVE.

The removable front panel with the number buttons does not contain the code so any panel should work, normally plenty for sale on ebay or try a scrappy
