Ford Ka 3 Boot release?

Hi,

I got a W reg (2000) Ford Ka 3 and the boot release doesn't work. The bbot will open with the keys but when you push the button inside the car next to the steering wheel it doesn't open can you please tell me how to fix this as it is very annoying having to stop the car to get things out the boot

thanks

this is because you will have a copper slot in the boot as you will see when you open the boot it will have worn out you may find out that your widow wiper for the rear only works sometimes with this aswell all you need to do is replace the copper blocks they just pop out

The boot release is wired such that you cannot open it with the engine running or the ignition on, it will only work with ignition off
