I have just bought privately a 04 scenic and yes at 44000 miles the clock reset to 00:00 every time I started engine and within a week full dashboard gone.
Has anybody been successful in claiming Renault or anybody any info on whether Watchdog are taking up the case ?

i have same problem 1.9dci waiting to hear from renault.am contacting watchdog too urge everyone else to do same.it worked with similar problem on ford focus last year.

yes we have experienced the same at about 44,000 miles, had the car from new (05 Scenic) and have now contacted renault Customer Care - they have been very helpful and aware of it as a problem. We had intermittent problems for a few weeks where when i went thru the display options my 'range to pump' indicator was ranging between 0 and 2000 miles, various messages re tyre pressure, low oil levels etc were displayed from time to time, then a full dash failure last weekend which lasted a few hours (safety issue as had no fuel level or speed indicator). Since it came back on it has seemed ok til today when i noticed my mileage has jumped by 6,000 miles - so keep an eye out - my MOT is due this weekend so luckily had already given approx mileage to my local dealer when i reported the problem last week!
