hi I have a ford transit tipper 2.5 diesel m reg, what it is for the past couple of weeks i have had to jump start my van nearly every day, fuses have been blowing and winder wipers, indicators, lights stopped working etc etc thought it was due tot the cold weather and the fact my battery was pants, it got to the point where if I turned of the engine I would need to get another jump start before I was going anywhere, but just bought another battery and it started fine for a good couple of hours and I was able to turn the engine of and on without any problems and all the wipers, indicators etc started working again, anyway I was on my way home from a hard days work a couple of hours later and just as I was about to go onto the motor way my van decided to just die, so I was blocking everyone, and I just don’t have a clue what it could be, please help

hi i had the same problems with my tranny tipper last year and it turned out to be the tipper pump wasn't wiered up right. when you tip your back dose it stay tiped up untill you switch it down or dose it come back down with out having to touch a switch? if it comes back down with out having to touch a swith then your pump is constantly live pulling the back down and draining the battery give it a try you mite have to wier another switch

Get your alternator checked out sounds as if its not charging the battery therefor a new battery would only last a couple of hours with lights etc running. Your new battery should be all right when you get the alternator fixed just charge it up

have you had charging system checked! it sounds like it's not charging, does your ignition light work-if not wont charge!
