My cavalier drives rough and when you wish to accelerate it hops and bounces and feels like it is going to cut out. occassionally it stalls and hops about. Can you help?

i reckon its a engine speed sensor maybe crank or cam one its a common fault i have ecotec one with same rough idle and its total dead when u put the foot down and drinks the pertol

hi its joseph. I recently serviced the car myself. new oil, oil filter, ht leads, air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter engine flush. still cant stop it from doing it. it just dies under acceleration, to keep it going it needs lots of revs and little cutch to pull away. only does it on 1/3 of a tank or less, but when its above half its not as bad. thank you very much!

hi joseph,have you had it serviced & is petrol or ? you need to give more information about your vehicle it may just need a service which can work out expensive at a garage or if you purchased the parts your self i'm sure someone local with the no how will do it for you at a reasonable cost
