Rain water leaking in my gas flue from outside?

I have rain water leaking through my gas flue and it has never done this before.

I have had it servied and the gas man has confirmed it is definitely rain water. HE has suggested putting a cowl/canopy over the gas flue outside to stop this happening.

Can you buy these or do you have to have the made from metal????

There isnt a pre made cowel for such events, only terminal guards but these are mainly to stop people touching the flue. You will have to make one up but with heat rising you will have to make sure that you dont stop the fumes from escaping from the flue, and yes they will have to be made of metal.
