I have an old register from a store I owned back in 2002. I need the information out of this register like yesterday for tax purposes!! I can't get anything out of it except CLOSED! What do I do?? I also can't remember how to run the daily Z reports which I also need really really bad! Any help would be great!

I have a samsung ER 4940. I am trying to program the departments. The pocket guide is very confusing. I only need one department where I can put an item that is not taxed.

Hi,
You haven't logged onto the machine. That's why it still shows 'CLOSED'. If it has had the clerks programmed as standard, then you just press A,B,D,or E at the top of the keyboard (in REG mode). Otherwise you type your logon number and press the CLERK button.

To print reports,
Turn key to Z mode.
1 SUBTOTAL
3 SUBTOTAL

That will give you the two common reports. If you need others, just let me know (ask new question - replies don't work)
