Biasi Combi Boiler not working, help!?

Hi I wonder if some kind fellow could help me with a problem I have with my boiler

Firstly appologies as I am a boier noob and have no idea about any terminoligy etc

I have a biasi Combi Riva boiler, last night we noticed the flat was a bit cold, checked the boiler and it was making a whiring noise but the red light was on ( I am led to believe this is a lockout light? whatever that means :0) I have no heating or hot water currently.

I have tried the following

Turning it off and on again (well I do work in IT after all), after doing this the whiring noise comes on and the red light kicks displays again there are a couple of clicks, but the boiler doesnt fire up.

Pressing the red light button, seems to be a faint click noise, however nothing else happens.

Pressure was a little under "1" I topped this up to "1" and tried the faithfull off/on test but alas no joy

I get the impression I am going to need to call a proffesional out to fix this but wondered if there is anything that I could do myself?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Better to get an expert in mate as you shouldn't be touching anything to do with gas unless you're Corgi registered. Sounds like a similar problem i had with a previous boiler of mine and it was the fan that was the problem so, better to be safe than sorry, get a Corgi engineer out.
