I've tuned mine up a bit by playing with the mixtures and using a better air filter, increase in headspeed is the way to go use well filtered fuel with no crap in it and a good quality fully synthetic 2 stroke oil mixed at 25:1 ratio. only problem I've ever had is it wears through bump heads quite quickly and finding replacements is very hard to do, found a web order company who stock spares www.gr8spares.co.uk but don't order using the web page coz their descriptions are crap n you'll have no idea what part your ordering as there are no pictures, best to ring em up during buisness hours 9-5 mon fri n speak to someone and explain the part your after.

Is it a curved shaft or straight shaft?

Is it petrol or electric?

Rule of thumb is: If it's straight shaft petrol then it can be converted to take a blade or use line (doemstic machines only) up to 2.4mm diameter.

If it's curved shaft, then it's nylon line only up to 2.00mm

If it's electric then nylon line only up to 2.00mm with a good compromise being 1.7mm

Remember- if you have an under powered machine and the line keeps snapping( assuming you have fitted the correct RECOMMENDED diameter line) don't try to beef the line up or sure as eggs is eggs the cutting resistance will transfer to the drive shaft and clutch and either one or both will fail. if the line keeps breaking before it's doing it's job, then the machine has got to the maximum of its performance
