my indesit wd12 does not advance from the wash cycle and the water id not warming. when it has washed for a while i turn off and let the door release and then move the dial to the rinse cycle. from then it works okay and the dryer has no problem any idea what the problem is and how this can be fixed. thanks

check the heating element, program pauses while the heater should be HEATING if heater o/c machine may not continue,or may do a cold wash when you advance program as no heat is required to fill, rinse, drain,spin program will advance, as for drying different heater element is used
