Hi ,can anybody help , the passenger electric window seems to have come off of a bracket or clip. When you let it down it tilts right forward almost dropping inside the door , i have pulled it back up but it seems a clip or something has broke. Any idea`s? Please help as its a pain in the ass!and i cant use it.

hi on the front doors the regulator requires one of the three arms being bolted in place this is the arm that levels up the window you will require a allen key to loosen and the bolt needs to be just over half way down the running slot test by pressing on it and using the window

have done my vectra today, very fiddly, take off door panel,3 screws at the bottom, one at door handle,1 at where you adjust wing mirror, bought one new slider, part number 026e5 vauxhall cost 3.90,when fitting put the righthand slider 1st,on the left lower channel put in slider first, make sure the glass is in both channels, than alighn the lower slider, than press in with molegrips etc, test, than put back together, remeber take your time

I have the same problem in my Vectra. The rear drivers side door window wouldn't go up so I took apart the door and saw that a little plastic piece has snapped. It is what drives the window up and down. I hope I can replace it with a new one as it will be easier then replacing the whole lot

just read some of the answers you dont need to replace the whole mechanism. if i remember correctly the vauxhall parts dept dont list these sliders under vectra parts which was handy. any probs you can contact me at alastair.sloan@blueyonder.co.uk

hi this is a common problem on vectras. I had to replace the clips on my last vectra on both front doors. they are actually white plastic sliders that go in the runners of the window mechanism. the sockets on them become worn and the winder arms jump out. if you strip yout door trim off you can get to them. take one out and take it into a vauxhall parts dept and you should be able to get them. they are not that expensive maybe only a couple of pounds. get enough to do both doors (4 if i remember correctly). When you get the new ones just clip them back on use a small g clamp or something to press into place. once you strip your door down youll see what im talking about.

you will need to replace the complete window regulator mechanism /common vectra fault

hi jim best thing to do is take of both door cards and see if you can figure out what has broken by looking at the good one, you may find you have to replace the whole mechanism from a breakers yard its not a hard job to do

It may be that nothing has broken. The channels that the window runs in dry out. Use silicon grease (available in small tubs from plumbers merchants) in the channels to lubricate the window slides, then work the window up and down a few times. This worked with my son's Vectra. Silicon spray CAN be used but doesn't last as long.
If that doesn't work then the door card will need taking off to see where the fault is.
