how to bleed clutch , vectra 1997 2.0 16v?

no clutch pedal resistance , resevior was very low & well below where clutch line goes in , topped up & pumped the pedal but still nothing , what is the proper way to bleed it , i know where the nipple is on the top of the gearbox , resevior cap on/off ,engine running/not , when to pump the pedal etc ?

hi derek just fill the reservoir and then get someone to sit in the car and pump the clutch pedal a few times and then hold the pedal down while you open the nipple, then close the nipple before they lift of the clutch pedal then keep repaeting the process.
a few pumps open and close the nipple then lift of the clutch.

you shouldnt need to run the engine at all, leave the cap off and keep an eye on the level dont let it drop too low and dont leave too much in either bleed it down to the max line

any other probs get in touch simonvann@hotmail.co.uk
