Larry, If one hose is hot and the other is cold, then there is not enough water flowing thru the heater core. I just went through this yesterday with a /92. You need a new heater core. And by the way, if you break the clips on the hoses, fret not. you can replace the hoses with standard heater hose. It`s just a real pain to tighten the hose clamps without a 1/4" drive air ratchet.
