The four wheel drive on my explorer just quit working. Could it be in the switch? And how can I check this out? It doesn't do anything when I turn the swithch to 4x4. Thank you!
If you could access the codes it would come up with P1909 which is transmission temperature sensor.
Here would be your problem. There is an open or short circuit.
This is taking into account you have checked the obvious (fuses) of course.
