when I went to pull away from a road junction I found I could only select 3rd + 4th gears. there hadn't been any obvious problems leading up to this ie grinding/ whinning etc. The shift between 3 and 4 is now very heavy. vehicle is a manual 98 Vw Sharan 1.9tdi 110bhp
