Renault Megane 2009 Clutch problem?

I have a brand new Renault Megane sedan 2.0 and I have had to take the car back twice in 7 days after the clutch pedal /clutch suddenly starts to 'self adjust to the point that the clutch starts to slip. They have adjusted it twice but something is malfunctioning and the bite on the clutch keeps moving off the end of the pedal travel. Is this a pedal, master cylinder or clutch fault? Has anyone else experienced something like this. Its weird.

Hi Richard, do you know know what the problem was with your clutch? I have clutch problem with 2007 Megane DCI 1.9l with under 30,000km. Your knowledge may help me.

I bought Megane 2 years ago from new. Started having clutch stcking problem after 6 months. Clutch master cylinder was changed. Something else may have been changed as well. After another six months problem reappeared and has never gone away. So far the clutch master cylinder has been changed 4 times and problem comes back. Now the dealer I bought it from has taken it in for a detailed diagnosis. Is it true that this is a common problem with Meganes? Renault are denying it but I have heard several megane owners complaining.

I also had a problem like this with my Renault Megane 2005. It was a spring under the clutch pedal which needed replacing - have the same problem now but the dealer has shut down and no other garage has a clue!! Any ideas??

hello richard, i hope you are having better weather than us in england. if i was you i would take the car back to the dealer as your car should be under warranty. if they give you any crap demand that they look at the car as they are notorious for not being co operative. any more problems contact your local trading standards office or consumer rights group. i hope this will help you.
