how can i make a jinlun 125 faster?

how can i make my jinlun 125 faster as it looks big but not much power when you get going
jason, February 2009
the answer really depends on the bike, if it's the jinny 11 then your not gonna get much more out of it, but theres a few thing that will help your cause.
k&n filters, free flow exhaust, re-jetting to #110, race cdi, and larger front sprocket, eg, if it the jinlun 11 the front tooth sprocket should be a 15 tooth, try a 16 or 17 tooth. i've had mine up to 70mph at a push, but you need to remember that a jinlun 125 is not built for that kinda speed, so take it easy or you'll bugger your engine.

check the slide in the carb is moving all the way up alot of chinese bikes have a rubber stopper in the top of the carb to stop full throttle slide travel.also they run very weak so it may be advisable to raise the slide needle postion in the carb by moving the circlip down towards the pointed end of the needle a couple of notches.it will never be a fast scooter though buy a gilera runner 125 or a aprilia sr 125 or a typhoon 125 or even a italjet dragster125 and put a 172 mallossi big bore kit and nitrous oxide on it ,a big keihin carb and nice chrome kundo expansion chamber mallossi reeds a kevlar drive belt light weight rollers a mallossi gear up kit and more......... like me :)then it will do over 115 mph and you will be laughing on the back wheel.

chinese bikes are usually restricted in silencers.
