GOOD NEWS, your printer is not knackered, it's just having a holiday!

You need a rescue kit (available from http://www.TheServiceManualShop.com) to bring your machine back to life. If your machine is not listed on the site, send them a mail and ask them to make you one. It's only £12.50 so is less than you paid for your ink!

Hi
Does your Status Moniter on this printer say that "parts within this printer need servicing or replacing" if so you need to download a program called SSC Service Utility, this is the same program Epson use to repair this fault, all that is wrong is the printer has a pre determined number of head cleans and when it reach's that number this comes on in the Status Moniter,in the bottom of the printer there is some foam pads that soak up the waste ink so you need to clean these or replace them (it is very messy, run them under a tap till all the ink has gone and wear a pair of GLOVES),the Utility program resets the counters which then allows you to start printing again, you may have to turn the printer off and restart your computer for it to work (to wipe printers memory).
Hope this helps.
