hi the timing belt on my p redg vauxhall tigra has snapped will this have done damage to the valves etc.

Hi Shaun, I am sorry to say but with your engine 1.4 or 1.6 in the event of cambelt failure there is almost certain piston to valve conflict!! only a compression test will rule this out otherthan taking the head off and then the extent of the damage will be revealed
