I took of the wheel to my craftsman eager-1 lawn mower to tighten the height adjument lever. Problem is I turn and turn the bolt while securing the nut on the other end and it doesn't get any tighter. The ends are not striped and I cannot maintain proper heigth on the mowere now? Stupid question but still need an anwser

Let me make a suggestion than. If I understand you right. You keep tighen the bolt and back it up on the nut side. But it still feels loose? Than remove the nut from the bolt and add a lock washer. This will take up the slack and lock it tight to the mower. Good luck and if you need any more help let me know.
