AEG Fav50730 replace rising tube?

I am trying to change the risier tube from the flow through heating element to the rear of the dishwasher hich provides water to the spinning bar.. Can't work out how you remove the tube from the centre of the machine, it is clamper with a red plastic bar which seems to be screwed from the inside but can't see any screws inside

undo the metal clip at the bottom seal and then simply pull the red plastic clip off using pliers. the tube will simply pull out. the red clip simply pushes back onto the screws.

I also am trying to replace the rising tube on an AEG 60830 and it has the same red clamp fixing. Is a special tool required?.... I am wndering if there is a hidden 'Star' type connector pushed into the red clamp from behind.........any solutions yet?
