how can i fix my ford escort?

my 1997 ford escort 1.6 si battery light came on and at the same time my temp gauge was reading above hot my alternator wasnt charging and flattened my battery /have since replaced battery alternator and temp sensor as disconnecting temp sensor put battery light out for short time but now it is back to the way it was after driving less than a mile my light came back on and my temp sensor shot back up to above hot

Hello well this is a complicated one.
If I was there checking you vehicle for instance I would begin by thinking that the previous alternator was overcharging and as such has probably melted wires togeather. In this instance I would trace the wiring back from temp sensor and alternator and probably replace.
