how can i get to the pump on my indesit w161 to check for blockages?
my washing machine has stopped draining properly and wont work. i suspect something like a sock has blocked the pump. i cant afford to get someone out to look at it so i want to try and do it myself but i dont know how. i have checked the filter but there is nothing in there
With the filter cap out, lookdown the hole and make sure that nothing is jamming the small impellor.put your finger in the large hole and feel up the hole to the left, you may then be able to feel anything stuck.

Unclip the lower kick plate on the front of the machine, you will then see the filter cap. The instuction book which came with the machine gives you full details on how to do this.
