How can I fix my Hotpoint Dryer?

The dryer will run and get warm, but will not get hot enough to dry. What do I need to check? The make is Hotpoint and model #NVLR333EVOWW

I have dryer Nwsr483 and the belt snapped so I bought a new belt and its the correct size, I tried to put it back on the dryer and I have to much slack left after I put it around the motor. So I need to know how it is supposed to stay under there?

You have the old style GE/Hotpoint machine which has a round plate behind the drum. The plate has the heater coil, limit t-sta,t and operating t-stat[s] mounted on it.

Try checking on Appliance Parts Pros.com as you'll find some parts breakdowns which will help you.

FYI: The top is held on by 2 screws at the front of the top.

Hello,
My Hotpoint dryer will run but is not getting warm at all, and the timer also quit working at the same time? What can I do to fix it?

My hotpount dryer nwsr483 is making a loud screaming noise when in motion. I took the top and front off to look to see if the belt was broken. The belt is still intact. How can I tell if it may be the rear of front bearing. Please help.

I have a hotpoint dryer Model NVLR333Evoww. The timer does not work so I ordered a replacement which I have received. I cant get the old timer out from the dryer. Is there a trick to it?

Hello,
The first thing to check for is a clogged or partially clogged vent. Try running a load with the vent disconnected at the dryer to see if that helps. If not, it's possible that one of the two heating elements have failed giving you a low heat situation. You may be able to visually see the bad element otherwise you need to check it for continuity.
