my information panel stays illuminated after I have turned of the car?

The information panel stays illuminated and will not turn off after I have turned the car off and removed the key card, on closer inspection there is a message on the system stating that I have to insert a cd.

is this a late model renault megane scenic by any chance if it is it will go off when you lock the car with the remote and is normal this function can be disabled by a renault dealer if you find it annoying
