Miele cooker hood reset procedure?

Following a power cut the hood lights work but the fan will not
When I press the on/off touch control the touch control light blinks but the fan does not start
Is there a reset procedure?

Just had the same problem with my Model DA429 hood. The lights were permanently illuminated and none of the buttons would work at all. Switching off at the mains and then back on again, had no effect.

On this model, holding the “-“ button for 20 seconds had no effect.

However, I removed the button module and discovered an extra button and indicator lamp to the left of the light button. This is directly on the circuit board (with no plastic button) and is normally hidden because it is outside the area of the cut-out slot where all the other buttons poke through the facia. Following your advice, I pressed and held it for 20 seconds and... its little light came on and everything now works great!

Many thanks for the info.

Howtomendit triumphs again!

Engineer has visited and the reset procedure is to press and hold down the '-'(minus ) button until reset; about 15/20 seconds
