Rear wheel bearings replacement?

How difficult is it to replace the rear wheel bearings on a Nissan Micra 53 plate,as I have a growling noise coming from the rear of the car.Have swopped around and checked tyres.

You will never manage to remove the bearings as described in the Haynes manual as they are machine pressed in; I found a local garage to remove and refit them for £20 (after 6 hours of futile effort!)

Hi,
I think i have a similar problem on a 53 plate micra - a description of how to remove the bearings with diagrams is available on the Haynes manual but involves some tools i dont have. How did you manage to get it sorted - or is the problem still the same? i have a low rumbling type noise coming from the rear but only at low speed - so not sure what it is - havent investigated fully yet as it doesnt seen so bad - however mot is looming ever closer.
