how can i fix my citroen c5 auto gearbox it will not go in lower gears to set off it will set off but slow once going runs fine but no kickdown / also service light is on and willnot show wot gear you are in on dash/also says gearbox has fault when i try to use high low on gearbox

Hello, I hope I can help. The same sort of thing has happened to me on my cietroen c2. I was driving and it came up with "gearbox faulty" "Serv" and then it would not go up further than gear 2. I have taken it back to citroen and they have diagnosed a virus with the gearbox computer system which they have now fixed. I googled this and was astonished to find that hackers actually put virus's into peoples cars via bluetooth, which my car has, not that I have used bluetooth I don't think. Kind regards.
