Zanussi DW24?

My Zanussi DW24 dishwasher stops on the A&B cycles after it has filled with water.however if the programme is advanced manually to the hotair programme the element heats up after it has pumped out. Help

after filling does it wash?.has the circ pump seized up?.could be a blockage also.you need to test these parts to give us an idea
