cymbals it is drill a hole with electric drill at the end of the crack should stop it wont make any differance to the sound if you put a few extra holes in a cymbal and put studs loosely in them it will make it a sizzle cymbal

A technique I have seen to prevent cracks propogating in sheet metal is to drill a small hole at each end of the crack.

Quite what this will do to the sound of your Cymbals I am unable to say - may the resonance always be with you.
