The rubber around the entrance to the drum,has about 1/2 inch missing,and about 8th inch deep,it,s where the rubber comes in contact with the door when it is closed,about where no 8 is on a clock face, which causes the water to leak out the bottom of the door,can i repair this. The machine is a first edition 1000. WM52.

I had a small chunk of rubber damage to my door seal. wot caused a leak
I used the stuff they use on fish tanks. to seal It worked for me. Joba a goodun
