Optima/Accenta G3 Alarm?

I've just moved into a new house and previous owners have forgotten the alarm code so I cannot activate the alarm.

Is there anyway in which I can reset the code to another code?

I've tried contacting number for technical support on user guide but it's no longer active

DONT RING WASTE OF TIME - rang the number above 02089 086583. I suspect this is a premium rate line as they answered and then kept me on hold. I had to ring back to be told to ring their technical number 09065 005008 -this is a preium rate line as you have to hear their opening times blah blah before you choose an option. Explained the situation i was told to power the alarm down by a very uninterested operator who when i explained we had already done this suggested i upgrade to a better system! DONT RING WASTE OF TIME

The above may help. From my G4 system I think you have to short out a couple of jumpers on the main alarm board during complete power up.

can be quite hard to do for someone with no experience, a local engineer shouldnt charge much for a code reset probably will replace backup battery aswell
