renault megane won't start?

i have a renault megane 53 plate. replace the battery december 08. came to use it yesterday and couldn't open the door, used the key to get into the passenger door but the car wouldn't start. put the battery on 24 hour charge but still no joy. any ideas?

Thanks for your help Chris. Have now solved the problem. Had Greenflag come out to me, and the guy took one look at the battery and told me that i'd been given the wrong battery. The battery was too low on the amp output. Took it back to the garage and changed it for a bigger amp output and (fingers crossed) had no problems since. But thanks for your help. Garry

Had something similar with an older megane.

Assuming the battery is now charged, lock the car remotely by pressing the button on the key fob, Unlock the same way (ie not by inserting the key in the door.

Try it now.

The immobiliser is turned off by unlocking the car with the button on the key fob.
