how can i fix my renault laguna heater blower as it only works on number 4?

it's the air con model, 1997 1.8 rt sport. in the haynes manuel it states that you can't change the resistor pack but other people have send you can. if you can is it an easy job and where can i get the parts from.

Common fault. I changed it on my 97 Lag 1.8 8v. It's located behind glove box. Access from inside car. Looks like a smallish disc shaped object. Twist to unlock it.

i meant to add that i don't get any heat from the heater either as it blows out luke warm
