It is always worth checking two things before you consider ditching the machine.
1. Check the pressure switch tubes are not blocked. Two cylindrical switch modules can be found at the top of the washer (after removing the lid). Disconnect the tubes and blow down them to make sure they are not blocked.
2. Check the carbon brushes on the motor. Tip the washer onto its side (door catch side). Locate the black brush cartridges (2 off) on the motor. Remove them and check that the sliding carbon blocks protrude more than 5mm from the holders. If they are any where near this replace them as they are relatively cheap.
