Can I do without earth wires?

I am attempting to install a pull switch for an electric shower in my bathroom. Whilst all other wires are straight forward unfortunately the earth wires from the cables leading in to the pull switch are very short and I cannot get them to reach the terminal in the pull switch (pulling to cable is not an option as there is no slack!) Is it safe to leave the earth wires NOT wired to the terminal in the pull switch?

all the earth wires must be connected together, this ensures the earth continues on to the next position. if you are unsure call in an electrician, bathrooms are dangerous if not wired correctly , the earthing should be checked by a insulation meter after and possibly protected by a 30 m/a trip, don`t take chances, good luck
